About Live for Padel

Live for Padel launched in 2025 and covers the full breadth of padel in the UK - from beginner guides and equipment reviews to original statistical analysis of the sport's growth. We have built tools used by padel clubs across the UK including a free tournament calculator supporting Americano, Mexicano and King of the Court formats for 4 to 32 players.

Our audience is primarily UK-based padel players ranging from complete beginners to established club players, with a growing readership among padel venue operators, coaches and sports journalists.

Key statistics we have published

The following figures are drawn from our original analysis of official LTA, Sport England and ONS data, published in our UK Padel Statistics 2026 report.

Player growth:

• 400,000+ people played padel in Great Britain in 2024 (LTA)

• 15,000 players in 2019 - a 2,567% increase in five years

• 51,000 adults play at least twice monthly (Sport England Active Lives 2023-24)

• 8 million Britons have expressed a desire to try padel (LTA, 2025)

Court infrastructure:

• 1,004 courts across 325 venues as of July 2025 (LTA)

• 68 courts in 2019 - a 1,376% increase to July 2025

• 413 new courts built in 2024 alone - more than the entire UK total as recently as 2023

Original Live for Padel analysis:

• London and the South East account for 29.6% of all GB courts despite having 20% of the population

• Scotland has just 8.2 padel courts per million people - the lowest of any GB region

• The South and South West leads on per-capita provision at 31.3 courts per million

• 20 times more Britons want to try padel than currently play it

• The UK would need approximately 27,000 courts to match Sweden's per-capita provision

Global context:

• 35 million+ players globally (FIP, 2025-26)

• Spain leads with 17,000+ courts and 5.5 million players

• UK has approximately 15 courts per million population vs Spain's 354
